NorthWind Fine Arts September Exhibit Featuring the Art of Lee Ann Sporn
Lee Ann is most known for her detailed, illustration-style colored pencil drawings of local flora and fauna. While she still enjoys creating this style of art, she has had a longstanding interest in abstraction and has enjoyed challenging herself with this new and very different style of creating. She is excited to unveil some of her most recent “experiments.”

Lee Ann’s display this month will include intuitive abstract pieces intermingled with her representational drawings.
Meet the artist! Lee Ann will be sitting at the gallery September 1, 8, 15, and 27.
You can see more of Lee Ann’s art HERE.

2022 Firetowers Light the Night
Annual Lighting of NYS Fire Towers
Sep 3rd, 9 to 9:30 pm
The fire tower lighting is a statewide event that started in 2014. The idea was to allow those far and wide to see the light on the horizon and remember and pay tribute to the days when the fire rangers would stand watch in the fire towers to protect the community and surrounding forests.

Many fire towers in the Adirondacks will participate in the annual state-wide lighting of the towers. For the 9th annual event, volunteers will light up the fire towers on Saturday, September 3 between 9 and 9:30 pm.
Rain date – Sunday, September 4, 2022, at the same time.
