AFS at The Sandy Hill Arts Center Wraps Monday, October 10th!
The Adirondack Folk School “Adirondack Craft Exhibit” at the Sandy Hill Arts Center (SHAC) is wrapping up soon. If you have not had a chance to see this uniquely AFS exhibit, now is your chance. Nearly 60 handcrafted items are on display in their 3rd floor gallery, located at 216 Main Street, Hudson Falls, NY. This one of a kind exhibit has items from our talented artisan-instructors alongside some of our students. This exhibit really illustrates the talent of our instructors – as artisans in their own right as well as how well they pass along the craft they love to their students by the quality of pieces on display.
Check out this video of the exhibit HERE.
The AFS exhibit at the Sandy Hill Arts Center is open daily through October 10th from noon until 5 pm daily and is free to the public.

Warren County Historical Society Seeks Memories for Upcoming Book
The Warren County Historical Society (WCHS) is continuing to accept submissions through the end of the year for its historical memoirs project. The finished book will be published in 2023.
Dozens of writers of all ages from around the region and around the country have contributed to the project with interesting and
heartwarming stories of living in, or visiting, Warren County. Recollections of life on the farm and in the mountains, schools, church activities, fun at Lake George, shopping trips to downtown Glens Falls, and more are intermingled with heartfelt coming-of-age tales and personal anecdotes that savor the individual writer’s voice” and document life in the county over the past two centuries. Warren County Voices captures the nostalgia of the past with glimpses into the future
through generational memories of both residents and visitors.
Those interested are asked to submit their memories in a Word document format to publications@wcnyhs.org by December 31. Stories should preferably be one to
five pages, with photo, if desired. Writing and editing support will be provided by the WCHS.
