Adirondack A&E e-News # 163

Believe in the writer (or writer-to-be) in your life: Give them the gift of a writing class!

Our online writing classes make a great gift for new writers, beginning writers, and seasoned writers, because our experienced teachers meet each student where they are, providing individualized feedback and consistent support. Students will be inspired, challenged, and rewarded throughout the class, and they’ll walk away from the class with new work, new friends, and a new motivation.

We encourage all gift-givers to select $100 or more when paying for their writing class, so that we can continue to offer or more affordable class seats to students on tight budgets. $100 or more for a five-week class is an incredible value, and we hope you’ll take advantage of it!

Warren Miller’s Daymaker (film)

Saturday, December 17, 2022, 7 pm

A killer storm cycle in British Columbia’s Monashees. Greece’s Olympus Range. The ultimate grass skiing run. Alaska (twice). Get in on the action with Warren Miller’s 73rd ski and snowboard film, Daymaker, and kick off your winter right.

Get out on the hill with Crazy Karl Fostvedt, Michelle Parker, Katie Burrell, Daron Rahlves, Ryland Bell, Cam Fitzpatrick, Connery Lundin, and more. Hit Snowmass for the biggest party of the winter with the National Brotherhood of Skiers, surprise a Warren Miller superfan at the base of Snowbasin, rewrite the rules of adaptive backcountry riding, and follow one of Europe’s most legendary mountain guides. Get in on the biggest days. Then get ready for your own. Because there’s no better day than one out on the snow.

Warren Miller films are annual celebrations that cross generations and connect us to the comforting constant of snow. Daymaker, the 73rd feature film in the Warren Miller library, will take you on a journey to peaks so high, they’ll replace the mountains in your mind with ones that free your mind.
