Thanks for joining us on the journey as we grow and expand ADK A&E in 2023. We are grateful for your support and encouragement as we spread the word on the vibrant Adirondack arts and entertainment community.
And growing we are! The number of subscribers to the e-News increases weekly and we meet more and more amazing and talented folks, sharing their events and activities. There’s even more exciting developments coming in 2023—stay tuned for details!
We knew there was a lot happening here when we founded ADK A&E a year ago, but even we have been astonished at just how much great stuff is going on. Thank you for keeping us posted!

Waterhole announces musical lineup for Saranac Lake Winter Carnival
The Waterhole will bring 12 different musical acts to the Upstairs Music Lounge from across the North East to the keep Winter Carnival goers movin’ & groovin’ as the town celebrates the 126th annual Saranac Lake Winter Carnival. The 2023 musical lineup features fan favorites and pairs them up with unbelievably talented opening acts.
Full week VIP passes for Winter Carnival at the Waterhole are available! This pass grants you entrance to every show of Winter Carnival from February 3rd to February 12th, 2023. $82 – 9 SHOWS – Save $24!

Horse Drawn Sleigh Rides
January13, 2023, 1:30 – 4:30 pm
Looking for another way to enjoy the great outdoors this winter? Welcome the season, embrace romance and discover nostalgia and take a horse-drawn sleigh ride at the Paul Smith’s College VIC.

Sleigh rides are much more than circling around a track, they’re fodder for vacation-defining moments and stories to share back home. Enjoy the majestic trip through the forest under a thick blanket and then return to warm up next a roaring outdoor campfire or enjoy a meal inside the Frank M. Hutchins Lodge.
Rides run every 45 minutes from 1:30 to 4:30 pm. Sleigh capacity is limited to 7. Please choose a different time and/or date if you are experiencing difficulties purchasing tickets at check out.

Come to play a few songs, or just come to enjoy the musical offerings of our talented community. Let the music warm you up in the dead of winter.
Open mic sign-up begins (in person) at 1:45 the day of each jam.
How much does it cost to jam or attend? Nothing! January Jams are FREE, though we always appreciate donations towards the beer and ham sandwiches.

Winter Walks with Ed Kanze
January 8, 2023, 1 – 3 pm
Wander through an Adirondack winter wonderland with certified guide and naturalist Ed Kanze. Join us in January and March for Winter Walks, where you can learn the basics of winter hiking, discover more about flora and fauna, and maybe even catch a glimpse of wildlife! After your walk, warm up with some hot beverages provided by ADKX.
Pre-registration is required. A limited number of snowshoes will be available to borrow.
Nature hikes are snow or shine. In case of severe weather, we will cancel the program and will contact you as soon as possible.
Please wear sturdy shoes and warm clothing. Hats, gloves, and scarves are recommended. Bring a notebook and pencil if you’d like to take notes and/or your camera to take pictures.
