ACW presents St. Lawrence University professor and author Pedro Ponce

Wednesday, January 18 at 7 pm

Barkreaders is a live, in-person event at Adirondack Center for Writing that gives local writers a place to both share their work and meet new authors at Adirondack Center for Writing. This bi-monthly reading includes an open mic, so anyone has the opportunity to share up to 5 mins of writing live before an audience.

January’s installment of Barkreaders features Pedro Ponce, creative writing instructor at St. Lawrence University and author of three books of fiction. His newest book, The Devil and the Dairy Princess, won the 2021 Don Belton Short Fiction Prize from Indiana University Press and was a finalist for the Big Other Book Award for Fiction. This will be Ponce’s first public reading from the book in the North Country.

An open-mic session will follow Ponce’s reading. Admission to the event is free, with a suggested donation at the door. The reading and open mic will run for a total of 60 minutes. Those interested in attending can RSVP for free HERE.
