Watercolor Workshop with Diane Swanson
Thursday, February 9th, 2-4pm
Two hour workshop limited to 6 participants; all abilities welcome.
Painting in watercolor can seem intimidating for many artists, but it doesn’t have to be. Striking a balance between controlling the medium while allowing the paint to flow is key to creating watercolor paintings you can be happy with. Watercolor artist Diane Swanson will offer a few ways and techniques to help participants work towards that balance in a relaxed easy setting. Participants will practice watercolor technique demonstrated by Diane, to learn some of the magic of the medium. Diane will work with each artist through the process, with tips on how to handle composition, color, and brushwork.
All supplies for the workshop will be provided by the instructor, but feel free to bring your favorite brushes and paints if you have them.
Cost: $30 person.

Adirondack Regional Theatre Presents 12 Angry Jurors
Thursday, February 9, 2023 through Sunday, February 12
A 19-year-old man has just stood trial for the fatal stabbing of his father. “He doesn’t stand a chance,” mutters the guard as the 12 jurors are taken into the bleak jury room. It looks like an open-and-shut case—until one of the jurors begins opening the others’ eyes to the facts. “This is a remarkable thing about democracy,” says the juror who is a refugee, “that we are notified by mail to come down to this place—and decide on the guilt or innocence of a man; of a man we have not known before. We have nothing to gain or lose by our verdict. We should not make it a personal thing.”
But personal it is, with each juror revealing his or her own character as tempers get short, arguments grow heated and tensions rise due to biases and bigotry, as they become 12 angry jurors. Can one juror, in their pursuit of justice, save the life of a young man by changing the minds of their peers, one vote at a time?
The jurors’ final verdict and how they reach it are intense scenes that will electrify you and keep you on the edge of your seat.
