Harold Weston: Freedom in the Wilds

Monday, March 13, 2023, 7 – 8 pm, Virtual, Free

Harold Weston, American modernist painter and social activist, was dubbed the “Thoreau of the Adirondacks” and is known for his thickly painted, expressionist views of the Adirondacks from the 1920s.

Katie Wood Kirchhoff, curator at Shelburne Museum, will explore Weston’s paintings and journals while considering ways his art and practice connected the natural world to the boundless freedom of the human spirit.
