“Celebrating Flora,” May exhibit at Adirondack Artists Guild

The Adirondack Artists Guild will be welcoming the arrival of spring and the re-opening of the gallery after its annual cleanup with its May exhibit, “Celebrating Flora.”

The back wall of the gallery will be filled with paintings and photographs of flowers and other flora by Artists Guild members, as well as a large stuffed doll. Many of the fifteen Guild members will also display floral artwork on their sections of the walls.

The show will open on Friday, May 5, with a reception from 5 – 8 pm. Everyone is invited to come to the Artists Guild to celebrate the start of the summer season, everything floral, and Cinco de Mayo.

All in-person classes will be held at our temporary storefront (45 Market St, Potsdam). We strive to make our community classes financially accessible by following a donation based registration model.

This summer we’re offering three chances to work with professional authors/editors on the subject of revision. Not only will you get access to a 90-minute zoom workshop where your instructor walks the class through editing moves, revision strategies, and theories on rewriting, but you’ll also get a one-on-one manuscript consultation with the author.

Danny Caine (Poetry), Athena Dixon (Nonfiction), or Michelle Ross (Fiction) will read your work closely, provide notes, and meet with you to discuss next steps for revising, rewriting, and eventually submitting.
