The Christmas Rose

Sunday, December 17, 2 pm
Martha Gallagher, The Adirondack Harper, weaves an intriguing and beautiful story of faith, hope, love and miracles in her performance of The Christmas Rose. Told with original harp music, the performance takes place at the spacious, lovely Keene Valley Congregational Church, Keene Valley.

The Legend of the Christmas Rose, by Sweden’s Selma Lagerlof, 1909 Nobel recipient for Literature, inspired Martha. She re-imagine the story in an oral tradition and created the music to be part of the storytelling. Ideal for adults, teens and older children, with the “heart” of the story transcending religion, making it a universal tale of faith, hope, love and miracles.

Suggested contribution $20., all contributions welcome. Details HERE.
