Back in Blue: the Online Series presents lectures, concerts, and theatre performances from our 2023 season in a virtual format, along with a preview of the upcoming 2024 production of The Cure: An Adirondack Story by North Country playwright Frederic Glover! The series will continue into January and February of 2024.

The Art of Craft

Through March 23, 2024

An exhibition of fine craft working in all mediums being made in New York State. The View showcases artists and craftspeople working in any craft medium whose work exemplifies excellence in craftsmanship, design, and innovative use of the materials. The Art of Craft focuses on the use of materials, skill, workmanship, design, and innovative works.

The Art of Craft will be exhibited in View’s three largest galleries through March 23, 2024. Educational and participatory programs in this exhibition.

The Stand Center receives $60,000 in grants

Strand Center for the Arts has announced grant awards totaling $60,000 from the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) to support the nonprofit arts and culture sector.

“We are so grateful for the continued support of Governor Hochul and the New York State Council on the Arts,” said Megan Charland, the Artistic Programming Director at the Strand Center for the Arts. “Through the grants we were awarded for 2024 we will be able to continue engaging with local artists while inspiring the North Country region. These opportunities are critical for us to serve our mission to enrich, energize, and engage our community through the arts.”
