Funding for the Arts Available!

The Essex County Arts Council is pleased to announce that the 2024 Cultural Assistance Program (CAP) Grant application is now available HERE.

For any arts group, historical society, preservation program, library, museum or organization providing public cultural programs for Essex County residents, this is an opportunity to request funding. The CAP application deadline is March 15, 2024.

CAP grants will support a wide range of activities, events and programs. Artists fees, program expenses, one-time use of materials for workshops, partial fees for program administration, advertising, rental space for a cultural event, equipment rental, lighting, sound, costumes, and professional fees are examples of what the CAP program will support. Each program may be funded up to $1,000. The application and eligibility requirements are available on the website HERE. For any questions, please email Susan Hughes, ECAC Arts Administrator at admin@essexcountyarts.org.

In 2023, over fifty organizations received funding totaling $37,500 at an average level of 85% of their request. The above collage is a sampling of the amazing projects that took place with 2023 CAP funding. This grant program is made possible by the generosity of the Essex County Board of Supervisors and ECAC’s loyal supporters.
