Fact or Fiction: A Live Storytelling Game

Friday, February 23, 7 pm

Fact or Fiction is a fun, live storytelling game where performers tell stories and the audience asks questions in order to determine if what they just heard was true or made-up. (We’ll choose the storytellers in advance to ensure a good mix of fact and fiction.)

Audience members can play solo or form teams to decide which questions to ask and whether to vote FACT or FICTION at the end of each story. The team or solo player to categorize the most stories correctly will win prizes, glory, and more!

Last year’s Fact or Fiction sold out, so make sure to grab your tickets now!

Silent Book Club

The Bookstore Plus, The Book Nook, and Origin Coffee Co. are partnering to bring the global sensation, Silent Book Club, to Lake Placid and Saranac Lake!

Join us on the 3rd Wednesday of every month from 6 – 8 pm at Origin Coffee Co. starting February 21st for a unique and unstructured book club—no pressure to finish a certain book or have discussion questions ready! The SaraPlacid Chapter will alternate meetings at Origin Coffee Co.’s Lake Placid and Saranac Lake locations each month.

At Silent Book Club, there is no assigned reading. You bring whatever book you are currently reading to our monthly meetup. There will be time to order a drink, chat, and find a seat before settling in to read companionably with fellow book lovers! All are welcome. Please note that this is a free event, but there is a limited capacity at both locations. You can register for the event HERE.

Silent Book Club is a global community of readers and introverts, with 500 chapters around the world led by local volunteers. SBC members gather to read and build community in quiet camaraderie. This is the SaraPlacid chapter, but you can learn all about the movement HERE.
