Join us for a celestial journey into Eclipse Art. Experience the captivating blend of art during this once in a lifetime event, as local artists showcase their talent to celebrate Totality in Tupper.

Artists have been asked to create “dark” inspired art for this show. Explore their vision of this enigmatic theme and journey into your own planetary penumbra!

Make Your Own Solar Eclipse Glasses

Saturday, April 6, 2024, 11 am – 1 pm

Children ages 4-12 will have an opportunity to create their very own solar eclipse glasses with Rainbow Sue.

They will be guided through the process of creating a unique frame for eclipse glasses. Adhesives will be applied by adult supervisors.

30 min classes, max 20 per class. Sign-up sheets available on the day.

Glasses meet international safety standards to ensure safe viewing during an eclipse.

Twelfth Annual Garden & Landscape Symposium

The King’s Garden at Fort Ticonderoga presents the Twelfth Annual Garden & Landscape Symposium. This program features practical strategies for expanding and improving your garden and landscape. We invite you to join us, whether you are an experienced gardener or you are just getting started, for helpful insights from garden experts who live and garden in northern climates.

Those who are unable to travel to Ticonderoga for the symposium can sign up to participate online through Fort Ticonderoga’s Center for Digital History using Zoom.

Total Solar Eclipse 2024

Don’t miss the once-in-a-generation event!

Stop by the Arts Center on your way to view the stunning solar eclipse on April 8, 2024! This rare total eclipse will pass over Blue Mountain Lake beginning at 2:12 pm, reaching full totality at 3:24 pm.

To celebrate, the Arts Center will be open from 10:30 am to 5 pm and welcoming visitors with a $20 special (while supplies last), including:

Chicken & stars OR veggies & stars soup (gluten-free option available)
cornbread
a hot beverage
and a pair of special eclipse-viewing glasses!

Plus, hang around for live entertainment at the Arts Center by Yod Crewsy and the Yod Squad from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.

Indian Lake Central School, North Warren Central School and Schroon Lake Central School will present excerpts from their spring musical. Each school will bring a scene from their Spring musicals to Tannery Pond. Come and enjoy this fun event.

Lake Placid Student Artists Join International Paris Competition

Grade, middle, and high school art students from Lake Placid Central School art classes are among the more than 300 elementary, middle, and high school artists participating in a five-country international art-in-sport contest hosted by the Al Oerter Foundation with the support of the Olympic Authority. The art event, themed “Move History Forward,” celebrates the 100th anniversary of the 1924 Paris Summer Olympics.
