2024 Caroga Lake Music Festival Programming Announced

This season, Caroga Arts will bring more than 150 artists from around the world to Caroga for 40 events spanning genres from funk, rock, pop to jazz, americana, classical and even comedy—including notable artists Cory Wong, Sawyer Fredericks, Eddie Barbash, Alex Moffat, Henhouse Prowlers, and rising superstar Eddie Benjamin. In addition, over 100 Resident Artists from 24 states and 5 countries will be in residence across six weeks and perform major orchestral pieces like Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony and Copland’s Appalachian Spring, as well as prominent solo and chamber works.

The majority of CLMF concerts will once again be held at Sherman’s Park, the historic and much-loved former amusement park in Caroga Lake, NY. With a lakeside pavilion and classic dance hall, Sherman’s Park is an idyllic backdrop for the season’s performances and community events. Caroga Arts is proud to welcome concert goers of all ages to ride the George and Ruth Abdella Carousel before every CLMF concert at Sherman’s Park. Throughout the season, CLMF resident artists will also perform at partnering venues and festivals across the region as part of CLMF on Tour performances.

Discounted Season Passes are now available for purchase (as of 4/11/24) and tickets for individual performances will go on sale April 26, 2024.

Local Authors and Local History Converge at Chapman Book Sale

Friday and Saturday, April 19 and 20, 10 – 4

“The museum has an incredible collection of books and we are thrilled to make them available to the public,” said Nicole Herwig, executive director of the Chapman.

The sale includes books by local authors, books about local history and rare books, beginning at $1. Popular books from the museum bookstore will be discounted 25 percent to 50 percent. Purchase of recent publications includes a free Seneca Ray Stoddard print while supplies last.
Local authors will be on hand to sign copies.

Piano By Nature presents internationally-acclaimed pianist Diana Fanning in a solo concert featuring Schubert’s monumental Sonata in A Major, D. 959.

Dalton Rashad Criss Adirondack High School Honors Gospel Festival 2024

The vision of the Dalton Rashad Criss Adirondack High School Honors Gospel Festival is to expose regional talented high school students to the harmonies and artistry of Gospel Music. This event allows students to explore their own personal unique artistic experiences and gives license to celebrate with others through movement, harmonies and the musicianship of gospel music. The 2019 Inaugural Adirondack High School Honors Gospel Festival was a huge success with some six regional schools and at least 50 high school students participating either as musicians or chorus members.
