BluSeed Studios Sober Open Minded Mic is alive and well! Audience and performers appreciate that it’s a listening room. As an alcohol free event all are able to participate – families and teens, young and old and people in recovery.

May’s Spotlight Artist is Bruce Thompson. Bruce is an accomplished luthier of classical guitars. and an accomplished classical guitarist. His folk singing brings the same attention to detail and craftmanship as his guitar building.

Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or just starting out, this workshop is perfect for anyone looking to add a personal touch to their greetings.

During this workshop, our talented instructor, Christine, will guide participants through the process of creating 3-4 unique cards using a variety of materials and techniques. From elegant designs to playful creations, you’ll have the opportunity to explore different styles and express your own artistic flair. All materials and tools will be provided and each participant will leave with 3-4 stunning cards ready to be sent to friends and family.

The cost of this workshop is $25/person, and space is limited.

Adirondack Palestine Film Series continues

Israelism (2023) and Teach-in “If the Olive Trees Knew”

North Country School to Celebrate Class of 2024 with “PUFFS”

Wednesday, May 22 and Thursday, May 23, 7 pm

North Country School’s spring play production “PUFFS (Two Act for Young Wizards)” by Matt Cox reimagines the beloved Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ through the eyes of the Hufflepuff students. The play follows the story of Wayne Hopkins and his group of seemingly unextraordinary classmates as they navigate seven years of epic adventures.

Saranac Lake Art Party Returns To The Garagery

Friday, May 17, 6:30 to 9:30 pm

The Saranac Lake Art Party returns for its fourth installment with another inclusive mixer designed to forge connections between creatives and friends.

Following the success of previous mixers, this event promises an immersive experience where emerging and seasoned artists, along with friends of artists, can converge to hang out, collaborate, and experiment with community artmaking and interactive video art. Admission is free. Snacks provided, as well as a cash bar.

Artists and friends are encouraged to bring some random, interesting objects and have fun creating a collaborative collage, building on the art created at the last Saranac Lake Art Party.
