Meet Dan Hausner, Saranac Lake

Dan’s photography depicts mostly
rural and natural scenes and integrates a wide range of styles and subject matter into his work.

He designs and builds all the frames for his photographs. Each photograph is paired with just the right combination of matte and frame so that all three elements work together as one piece of art. His frames are sourced via a mix of locally produced woods and reclaimed material.

In addition to enhancing his photography practice, Dan also uses his woodworking skills to create specialized, functional wooden pieces.

His work is currently on exhibit in UnCommon, at the Windows Gallery, Tahawus Cultural Center in Au Sable Forks.
