The Wild Center is thrilled to announce a special presentation of Adirondack Remnants, a captivating and immersive performance by electricGrit Dance. This unique event will explore the rich tapestry of human and ecological memories of the Adirondack region, weaving together dance, music, photography, visual art, and storytelling.

Performances include Indigenous storytelling from the vantage point of one Haudenosaunee’s woman’s matriarchy, dancing in nature, music, spoken word, and an outdoor art gallery.
The acclaimed collaboration, created by Rose Pasquarello Beauchamp, Trish Corcoran, Andrea A. Gluckman, and Stella Wang, offers a deeply moving experience that unveils the stories of the land that has been and remains the ancestral home of the Haudenosaunee. Audiences will be transported through time, from the indigenous beginnings of the region to the present day, with a special focus on the Haudenosaunee matriarchy, shared by a descendant herself.

The hilarious Gilbert & Sullivan operetta, featuring an all-star cast!
This comic opera by Gilbert and Sullivan is a satirical exploration of class distinctions, romance, and naval traditions in Victorian England. On the British Royal Navy ship H.M.S. Pinafore, Captain Corcoran commands a disciplined crew, along with his daughter Josephine and Ralph Rackstraw, a lowly sailor. As romance buds between Josephine and Ralph, her father plans to marry her off to a pompous bureaucrat named Sir Joseph Porter.
Ralph and Josephine seek to overcome the obstacles of class, family expectations, and shocking revelations. H.M.S. Pinafore is a delightful blend of comedy, music, and social commentary, exploring themes of love and equality in a whimsical setting on the high seas.
This production will be a semi-staged, concert version with limited sets, costumes, and staging. The Theatre Festival previously presented Gilbert & Sullivan’s Pirates of Penzance in this format in 2017, and it was a smashing success!
