A Family Affair – Glazebrook, Glazebrook & Barbato

Tuesday, November 26, 2024 – Saturday, January 4, 2025

Opening reception November 30, 4:30-6:30 pm

This show is called a ‘Family Affair’ to highlight the emergence of the creative drive in our family that we know exists only as far back as our grandfather, who was a painter and writer.  Out of the 4 grandchildren, Anne and Josephine are the only two who have been driven to create and out of the 5 great grandchildren, Tess seems to be the only inheritor of this trait.  Will it emerge again in the great, great grandchildren?  Time will tell.

Barn Quilt Painting with Sara Meays

Saturday, November 23, 2024, 9 am – noon

Join us for a morning full of creativity and fun while you paint your own 2’x2′ barn quilt!

Barn quilts replicate traditional fabric quilt patterns and are a unique decor for anywhere in your home! Your barn quilt will be weatherproof and ready to display indoors or out! Barn quilts have been growing in popularity over the last several years, and while they were once only found on barns, they are now found on porches, sheds, camps, garages and houses, as well as an indoor decor. The display options are unlimited!

The barn quilts created in this class will be painted on a wooden signboard and primed and painted with exterior latex paints. Upon registration, you will be emailed pattern and color options to choose from. The patterns will be beginner level and include 3 colors. All materials and supplies will be included in the cost of the class.

2024 Canadian Pacific Holiday Train

Tuesday, November 26, 2024

Each year, this beautifully illuminated train travels across two historic railways (Canadian Pacific and Kansas City Southern) spreading holiday cheer and raising donations to help people struggling with food insecurity.

At each stop, professional musicians play free concerts from the brightly decorated train’s stage. CPKC donates to the local food bank at each stop and encourages all attendees to make a monetary or heart-healthy food donation. This year’s performers include Canadian country group, James Barker Band and soulful star Clerel.

Since its inaugural journey in 1999, the CPKC Holiday Train has raised more than $24.3 million and collected approximately 5.3 million pounds of food for community food banks in Canada and the U.S.
