Potsdam Food Co-op Hosts Tasting

Nettle Meadow Farm Locally Produced Artisanal Goat Cheeses

Friday, April 11, 11 am – 1 pm

The Potsdam Food Co-op invites community members to visit the Cooperative, located at 24 Elm Street in Potsdam Village, to sample two varieties of Nettle Meadow’s artisanal, spreadable goat cheese, and Fromage Frais. The Co-op hosts cheese samplings on the second Friday of each month and offers a 10% discount on the cheese featured for the entire month.

Nettle Meadow, originally founded in 1990, is both a farm and an animal sanctuary in Thurman, NY. Located in the lower Adirondacks, the business operates a retail shop and a tavern in Lake Luzerne, which is open to visitors year-round. The business has won dozens of awards for its 40 varieties of artisanal sheep and goat cheeses. In 2022, the farm was completely renovated, and a best-in-class cheese production facility was built where the business can produce 8x more cheese than at their original facility.

March Madness Recap

North Country Students Log Over 200,000 Minutes in March Madness

After a month of incredible dedication, creativity, and passion, students across the North Country have wrapped up the March Madness Practice Challenge, hosted by We Are Instrumental. What began as a friendly competition between nine schools quickly turned into a powerful celebration of student dedication and musical growth.\

Together, students logged an astounding 200,835 minutes of instrument practice—proving just how motivated and passionate these young musicians are.

To keep the energy high and the stakes exciting, students competed for amazing prizes like tickets to a live performance at Proctors Theatre, along with ice cream and pizza parties for schools that led the pack. These rewards weren’t just fun—they were a way to celebrate the hard work, discipline, and daily commitment it takes to grow as a musician and a student.
