The Local Service Initiative
Saturday, November 22, 7 pm
Downtown Artist Cellar is pleased to present an evening of improvised music and visual art with The Local Service Initiative, an improvising sextet from Potsdam.
The Local Service Initiative explores the intersections of sound, place, and community, bringing inventive and boundary pushing performances to regions often outside the reach of contemporary experimental music. Each performance is created in the moment, blending dual saxophones, piano, guitar, electronics, voice, and unexpected elements into an immersive and evolving sound environment.
Join us for an evening of surprises, improvised music, and visual art featuring guest musicians from the Malone music community and a video installation by Echo.
