Anna Warfield Brings Soft Sculpture and Poetry to Malone and Potsdam
Friday, January 16 – Thursday, March 5, 2026
Opening reception, Potsdam, Thursday, January 15, 2026, 5 pm
Opening reception, Malone, Friday, January 16, 2026, 5 pm
Warfield’s practice bridges tactile soft sculpture and poetic language, creating intimate, thoughtful works that explore care, vulnerability, and the ways we hold memory and meaning. Warfield’s multidisciplinary approach invites viewers to slow down and engage with art that is both visually compelling and emotionally resonant.
Warfield has had recent solo exhibitions at the Rockwell Museum and the Everson Museum, has exhibited widely across New York State, and is the recipient of multiple New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) grants, residencies, and juried awards. Warfield has also contributed as a speaker and collaborator with institutions including Cornell University, New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA), and Alfred University.
This collaborative exhibition reflects the shared commitment of the Downtown Artist Cellar and SLC Arts to expanding access to contemporary art, supporting artists, and fostering connection across the North Country. The Downtown Artist Cellar exhibition is supported by The Thrive Project, the nonprofit arm of the Downtown Artist Cellar, which expands access to arts and arts education.
