Twolined Studio presents

Hoot Show: Songwriter Spotlight with headliner Emily Barnes

Monday, February 16, 6:30 pm

A night of Writer’s Rounds featuring local songwriters, capped by a performance from contemporary folk singer-songwriter Emily Barnes!

Emily Barnes will be the headlining performer at the February 16 Hoot Show: Songwriter Spotlight. The evening will also include an opening act and a Writer’s Round with three local North Country musicians: Russ Cook, Tereson Dupuy, and Christian Rottner.

What is a writer’s round? Three musicians take the stage together, each taking turns introducing and playing a song they have written. Hear the stories behind the songs with Russ Cook, Tereson Dupuy, and Christian Rottner.

All proceeds from ticket sales will support weekly operations at the Saranac Lake Hootenanny – your weekly free live music event showcasing the incredible musical talent from the North Country.

Find out more and get tickets HERE.

Softening the blow from loss of federal grant opportunities

Adirondack Stage Rats present

Cabin Fever, a play by Joan Schenkar

Sunday, February 15, 3 pm, Westport (presented by the Depot Theatre, at the Westport Library)

Sunday, February 22, 3 pm, Tupper Arts, Tupper Lake

Stave off the evils of cabin fever (the malady) by Joining us for Cabin Fever the play by Joan M. Schenkar; Adirondack Stage Rats’ first staged reading of our winter season!

It’s crazy, funny, creepy, weird—so many things we love—and a play we can’t imagine any other company in the region producing! This “comedy of menace” features three malevolent New England oldsters rocking away on a country porch reciting horrifying yet funny stories about their fellow locals and their customs.

IF Samuel Beckett, Stephen King, and Sam Shepard had ever collaborated on a play this could have been the result! Children will be bored with this inappropriate material so leave them elsewhere, please.

Directed by Tyler Nye; Featuring Leslie Dame, Jordan Hornstein, and Christopher Leifheit.

Tuesday, February 17, 2026, 1 pm, free

Join us for a reading of The Shoulder Rider: A Storyteller’s Tale by Beatriz Roman, who will share her beautifully illustrated book in person.

This program is intended for children ages 5-9 but is open to all. Parental participation is encouraged, and supervision is required.

This program is free, and registration isn’t required, but we’d love a quick call to let us know you’re coming: (518) 793-2826.
