Dramatic Improv Workshop
I’m gathering a small group of improv folks who want to have some fun stretching into more grounded, dramatic work while helping develop a feature film. Think Drinking Buddies energy. Loose, human, character-first scenes where listening matters more than jokes.
This is for performers who want to play, experiment, take risks, and spend a few Saturdays doing the kind of improv that feels more like real life. You will get space to dig into character, follow emotional threads, try things that flop, and build scenes together without pressure to be “on.”
A little about me: My name is Alyssa Carroll. I trained through The Second City directing program, have directed for iO Comedy digital sketch teams, and work professionally as a TV and film editor.
The workshop basics:
• Unpaid
• Four-week workshop
• Saturdays, three hours
• Plattsburgh, NY

Shared as an uplifting time of music, musings, memories and more, the program is free and open to all. Most suitable for adults and teens; approx. 60 min. in length.
