ADK Painting Project at Northville High School

High school painting students in grades 10-12, under the direction of Sue Sedon and Emily Jackson, were prompted to create a painting on the theme of the Adirondack Park. Students researched appropriate wildlife, activities, and landscapes before sketching their ideas. The wooden cutouts were created by the CNC classes under the direction of Mike Valovic. Students transferred their sketches to the wooden pieces and began painting by layering their colors, practicing color blending,   experimenting with brush techniques, and adding textures and details.
