Lake Placid Steamboats, Fancy Hotels, and the Gilded Age

A rare historical photo tour-lecture through the lens of time of the extraordinary Lake Placid playground during the opulent Gilded Age (1879-1919), the early pioneers, stage lines, popular steam and tour boats, the railroads, and magnificent grand hotels.
Doors open at 6:30 pm. Covid-19 vaccination is recommended and masks are strongly encouraged. Masks will be available. Seating is limited and on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The Ticonderoga Area will be filled with music this summer as both the Ticonderoga Festival Guild Summer and the Town of Hague Annual Summer Concert series announce their 2022 schedule.

The Bookstore Plus is pleased to host author, Sue Steinhardt, for a book signing event on Saturday, July 2, 2022, from 3-5 pm to autograph copies of her books “Philip T. Basher is Imperfectphil,” “Imperfectphil is Who I A,” and “Imperfectphil is A Friend.”
About The Books: A 3 part children’s book series, Imperfectphil, is the story of a 130 pound St. Bernard/Mastiff puppy who has a love for living life, spreading happiness, and doing his part to help the dogs who others toss aside.
About The Author: SUE STEINHARDT is a high school English teacher with the simple philosophy of “b.”. She grew up in Belvidere, New Jersey, and still lives nearby with her husband and furbabies. Sue loves walking in the woods and sharing a laugh about the quirks of life with good friends. She loves dogs, believes in rescues, always recycles, drinks from a reusable straw, and tries to breathe deeply rather than act harshly. She is not perfect.
