Come celebrate history at our town’s 52nd annual Essex Day celebration!
Every year, the Town of Essex comes together on the first Saturday of August and celebrates our community with a town-wide yard sale and street party. Come join the fun and see what makes Essex special.
Saturday, August 1st, 2026, time 10am – 2pm – Entrance to this family-friendly event is FREE and open to the public.

Main Street in Essex, NY (plus yard sales in the surrounding area)
Over 40 Artisan and Craft vendors! Live Music!
Enjoy refreshments from local restaurants and support local shops on Main Street!
Kids’ Activities sponsored by Lakeside School at Black Kettle Farm!

Food Trucks: Papa Duke’s BBQ and Indian Bay Marina Pizza on Point Woodfired Pizza, Hotdogs for Hospice by the Essex Community Church
Book Sale: Belden Noble Memorial Library will host their annual Essex Day book sale at the library from 10am – 4pm. After 3pm, fill a bag of books for just $5!
