2023 will be the 15th Adirondack Plein Air Festival – a week long, outdoor painting event that attracts artists from all over the country. Hundreds of fresh, new paintings will be produced and displayed in the Town Hall! Artists check-in on Monday Aug 14 and may begin painting. There is a “Meet the Artists” reception that evening at the Hotel Saranac.
Tuesday the artists will be set up painting on the trails at the Paul Smith’s College VIC, Wednesday they are free to choose their painting locations, and Thursday is “Paint the Town” day in Saranac Lake, plus a 3rd Thursday ArtWalk in the evening. Spectators are encouraged at all the locations. Friday evening, August 18, the Special Preview Party opens in the Town Hall in Saranac Lake. Hours are 6 – 9 pm and refreshments served. Tickets are $20/ea but give attendees the first chance to view and purchase the paintings produced at the event. The Show & Sale will be open to the public, at no charge, on Saturday August 19.
