Double Tiger (Jay Spaker) is an acclaimed producer, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist who has become a central figure in the modern American reggae and dub scene. Originally gaining prominence as a key collaborator and producer for the influential label Dub-Stuy Records, he is known for heavily integrating sound system culture into contemporary roots aesthetics. As a solo artist and front-man, his music blends smooth, melodic vocals with heavy, 1980s-inspired steppers and rub-a-dub riddims. He is also a long-time guitarist and vocalist for John Brown’s Body, firmly establishing his credentials within the progressive reggae-rock landscape.
