ACW’s Meet reporter and author, Tim Rowland (Jay, NY) to learn about his new series reporting on the regional housing crisis for the Adirondack Explorer. Rowland has also authored a history of hiking in the Adirondacks, a popular guide to lesser-known ADK hikes, and the New York Times Bestselling Strange and Obscure Stories of the Civil War. Tim will answer audience questions and share stories about his experiences reporting, writing, and finding an audience for his work.
Tim Rowland is an award-winning humor columnist and New York Times bestselling author whose unique stories about history and the outdoors and times past have struck a chord with people seeking fun and adventure in the wilds. Along with a regular column for Herald-Mail Media in Hagerstown, Md., his work appears in the Adirondack Explorer, Adirondack Life and Cato’s Regulation magazine.His latest book is the just-published Happy Lonesomes: A Guide to 15 Eastern Adirondack Hikes That Are Long on Scenery and Short on Crowds. With his wife Beth, he owns a farm and forest on the East Branch of the Ausable River in the Town of Jay.
