From Script to Screen: A Five-Week Crash Course w/ Filmmaker Kirk Sullivan

In this course, led by Kirk Sullivan, students will be introduced to the fundamentals of screenwriting (basic structure, character development, etc.). By the end of the course, each student will have written a logline, synopsis, and a scene from their own original project, which they will film with actors. In the final session, students will present their work for an audience of family and friends.

Kirk Sullivan is a filmmaker based in the Adirondacks. He graduated from the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts, worked on various Hollywood film productions (Sherlock Holmes, The Losers), is a member of the Writer’s Guild of America, has written screenplays for a handful of major studios (Lionsgate, New Line Cinema, and Sony Pictures), and has produced and directed commercials for Disney, Olay, Instacart, Expensify, and the Joe Biden Presidential Campaign.
