Workshop 2: Balms and Salves
Saturday, July 30
11:00 am – 12:30 pm
Hands-On at Whitcomb’s, Summer 2022
This is the second class in a three-class series. Learn the basic tools and skills needed to build your home apothecary, based on personal preference with the support of folk methods of medicine. Additional classes in Tonics, Elixirs, and Teas (June 25), and Tinctures and Floral Waters (August 27). Take one, two or all three classes.
In Balms and Salves, we will discuss how to make balms and salves for personal use, using foraged or homegrown herbs. This class will help you add topical methods of care to your home apothecary . Class participants will be able to make an all-purpose salve and introduce the method for creating it, allowing for experimentation and confidence in building this part of a home apothecary. All materials and information packets will be supplied. Pen and paper recommended.
$35 including materials; $75 for all three classes
