Juneteenth: Colors of Freedom In the Adirondacks

A Bus Tour (or drive your own vehicle) starting at the North Star Underground RR Museum at 1131 Mace Chasm Rd, Ausable Chasm NY ($): For this part, pre-register at https://www.paypal.com/ncp/payment/MDHDF4LP48BQY The tour will start at 9 am and visit local Underground RR sights and see re-enactors). For questions on this portion of the event, please email ugr@frontier.com This tour, organized by the North Country Underground Railroad Historical Association, will end at John Brown Farm. For those traveling by bus, the bus will return to the North Star Museum at 4pm.

After arrival at John Brown Farm in Lake Placid at noon there will be more activities, including meeting abolitionist Gerrit Smith, portrayed by a local student; John Brown’s Speech before the Court, a Plattsburgh Gospel Choir performance, a talk by Historian and Author Amy Godine, and more!

There will be a barbecue from 1-3pm (Papa Duke’s, only $8!)

Admission to John Brown Farm is free and all are welcome.
