Lyceum: Farming in a Changing Landscape: A Dialogue About Local Food Systems
March 14 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
$5
The pandemic and its aftermath brought tremendous changes and new pressures to independent farms in and around the Adirondack region. Rising costs, scarce labor, and shifting demographics and land ownership patterns are changing the ways farms work. Tonight’s program will be a panel discussion that looks at what this means for local communities. Panelists are Kristin Kimball, author and co-owner of Essex Farm; Racey Henderson, Reber Rock Farm; Ian Ater, Fledging Crow Farm; and David Brunner and Rhonda Butler, Asgaard Farm. Third presentation in the Winter Lyceum series.
