In the fall of 1937, researchers began a comprehensive inventory on the 15,000-acre Huntington Wildlife Forest, Newcomb, NY. What remains is a written record of what they saw and heard, season after season, how it felt, and what could be inferred from their encounters on the land. This talk will bring the philosophical dimensions of these beautiful field notes to life.
