Join us for an evening of poetry at featuring three accomplished poets from Northern and Central Vermont. Julia C. Alter, holding an MFA in Poetry from the Vermont College of Fine Arts, has had her work nominated twice for the Pushcart Prize and her debut collection, Some Dark Familiar, won the 2023 Sundog Poetry Book Award. Carlene Kucharczyk, whose collection Strange Hymn won the Juniper Prize and will be published by the University of Massachusetts Press in 2025, has received a Creation Grant from the Vermont Arts Council and has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize. Meg Reynolds, a poet, artist, and teacher from New England, has published widely, including in Mid-American Review, RHINO, and the Kenyon Review, and has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net. Her collections include A Comic Year and Does the Earth, and she serves on the Board of Sundog Poetry. Following the readings, there will be an open mic session for attendees to share their own poetry. Come and experience the diverse and powerful voices of these talented poets, and stay to share your own work in a supportive community.
