POP-UP Performance | Sojourner Truth: A Living History by Charmaine Crowell-White

While in Malone to perform for Malone Middle School students and lead a theater workshop for high school students, Charmaine Crowell-White will offer a special pop-up performance at Downtown Artist Cellar.

Charmaine brings Sojourner Truth to life through living history, storytelling, and performance, sharing the story of a woman who rose from slavery to become a powerful advocate for abolition, women’s rights, and human dignity.

An accomplished actor, director, educator, poet, and living-history interpreter, Charmaine has performed throughout the country and has portrayed historical figures including Sojourner Truth and Harriet Tubman.

A Q&A with Charmaine will follow the performance, with light refreshments served.
