Storytime at the Museum: “CeeCee: Underground Railroad Cinderella”

11 a.m. at the Chapman. Free

Join us for Storytime at the Museum as we read “CeeCee: Underground Railroad Cinderella” by Shana Keller. This unique retelling of the classic Cinderella story is set on a Maryland plantation and follows CeeCee, an enslaved girl, as she dreams of freedom. Instead of being rescued by a prince, CeeCee’s journey leads to a different kind of hero.

After the story, children can color pictures of Harriet Tubman, one of the most well-known conductors on the Underground Railroad.
This program is intended for children ages 5-9 but is open to all. Parental participation is encouraged, and supervision is required. This program is free and does not require registration.
