JEMS SUMMER CONCERT: Larry Ham Quartet

Rooted in their shared years at the renowned Crane School of Music in the late 1970s, this powerhouse jazz quartet reunites four internationally acclaimed musicians whose careers have spanned continents, festivals, concert halls, and legendary collaborations. Pianist Larry Ham, guitarist Paul Meyers, drummer Tom Melito, and bassist Matt Dunne blend decades of artistry into a sophisticated, swinging performance rich with jazz tradition, Brazilian influences, and masterful improvisation. Together, they deliver an unforgettable evening shaped by lifelong friendship, remarkable musicianship, and a shared passion for jazz.

Pack a picnic dinner, gather your family and friends, and enjoy a season of live outdoor music by the gazebo at the beautiful Historic Jay Village Green!  In the event of rain, performances move indoors to the historic Amos & Julia Ward Theater at the same location.
Refreshments will be available from the volunteer-run Jay Entertainment & Music Society (JEMS), with donations gratefully accepted to support the ongoing maintenance and preservation of the Amos & Julia Ward Theater. Concerts are presented by JEMS in collaboration with the Town of Jay.
