Summer Walking Tours: Dining Out Tour

New for 2026! Inspired by our 2025 exhibition, “Dining Out”, this tour highlights local restaurants, past and present, that have shaped our region and filled our stomachs. We will be discussing the history of these special places, including their original owners, the food they served, and more. Participants can park at the Chapman Museum in the lot behind the Museum off Bacon Street.
The tour lasts approximately 60 minutes and ends with a lunch stop around noon at Davidson Brothers Brewpub, where participants will receive a 10 percent discount. Lunch is not included in the price of the tour, so those who wish to participate in the lunch stop should bring money to cover the cost of their meal.
The tour will take place rain or shine. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a hat, water, and either an umbrella or raincoat if needed.
Tours are $20/person or $15 for Chapman members. Payment is required at the time of registration. A minimum of four participants is required for tours to run, and no more than 15 participants per tour. To register, please call (518)793-2826.
