Susan Granfors: The Art of Connection and Artist Reception

Join us at the opening reception for The Art of Connection, Susan Granfors’s exhibition of new textile and sculptural work—intricate, tactile pieces built thread by thread.

Susan Granfors creates embroidered works using a free-motion machine embroidery technique. Working on a versatile fabric base, she builds organic structures in thread that are later released from their ground, allowing the forms to exist independently. Her pieces ranges from densely stitched surfaces to open, lace-like constructions, often extending into three-dimensional sculptural forms or generating entirely new textile structures.Framed pieces are suspended to emphasize depth, inviting viewers to engage with the shifting shadows and spatial play created by the work.

Susan’s work will be on display at Snowfort from June 6-28.
