Free Visiting Artist Program
Saranac Lake ArtWorks is proud to present an artist talk and live painting demonstration with capitol-area artist Takeyce Walter. Walter will demonstrate her mixed media painting technique with pastels and gouache on Sunday, August 6 from 1 – 4 PM at the Paul Smith’s College VIC, 8023 NY-30, Paul Smiths, NY 12970.
Walter’s current exhibition at the VIC, “These Waters”, in the Heron Marsh Gallery, features many paintings using this process, and she’ll discuss her inspiration for the show. Aug 6 is the last day of the exhibit. The VIC is open 9 – 5 daily.
Takeyce is an artist, art instructor, and media producer and works primarily in oil, pastels, and gouache. Her paintings capture the unique beauty of the Adirondacks and its waterways. Her work has been exhibited regionally for the past 20 years with many private and public acquisitions, including most recently, the Adirondack Experience Museum Artist & Inspiration in the Wild permanent collection.
Please join us for a delightful afternoon; walk-ins are welcome. Don’t miss this opportunity to witness the beautiful artistry of Takeyce Walter. The free ArtWorks Visiting Artist program is made possible by funding from the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.
