1776
A musical retelling of the American Revolution’s political struggle in the Continental Congress to declare independence.
“1776” is a movie based on the Broadway play of the same name. It delightfully – and with some humor – tells the story of the Declaration of Independence. Local author/historian Glenn L. Pearsall will introduce it and, after its showing, deliver a brief talk on what happened to the signers of the Declaration of Independence after they signed it. This will be a fun and informative way to celebrate America’s 250th birthday!
