The Art Group
November 25 @ 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

The Community Volunteer Friendship Program and The Thrive Project are delighted to support an exciting continuous, workshop designed for seniors and caregivers. This engaging group meets once a week and provides participants with a unique opportunity to explore creative skills in a collaborative environment. The Art Group welcomes individuals of all skill levels, providing a supportive space for beginners to explore their creative potential and for experienced artists to challenge themselves and find inspiration in their peers. Participants are encouraged to bring their artistic passion and the art supplies of their choice, enabling them to fully immerse themselves in the creative process. Guiding the workshop with personalized instruction is DAC Member, Anne Ray.
Anne Ray, a former physical education teacher and artist, has emerged as a respected figure in the art community. With no formal training in art, Anne has whet her creative endeavors through instruction from nationally recognized and local artists. Anne’s talent has been celebrated with several awards, including her most significant recognition with acceptance into the 2022 National Pastel Show at View Center for Arts and Culture in Old Forge, NY .
The Thrive Project mission is to provide a vibrant and welcoming environment where individuals of all ages, particularly children, can explore and appreciate the world of art. Through our diverse range of workshops, we aim to inspire curiosity, nurture artistic talents, and cultivate a lifelong passion for learning.
