Prosecco Prelude VIP Reception (4:30 PM – 5:15 PM): Meet and greet our special guests Jamelle Bouie, Nell Painter, and David Blight in the “Dreaming of Timbuctoo” Exhibit in the Upper Barn:

  • David Blight: Professor of History, award-winning author, and leading expert on slavery and the American Civil War
  • Jamelle Bouie: Columnist for the New York Times Opinion section
  • Nell Painter: Historian, artist, and award-winning author

Conversation & Cocktails (5 PM – 6:30 PM): Join us in the Upper Meadow for a refreshing cocktail while relishing in a provocative, open-ended conversation with Jamelle, Nell, and David.

The Long Table Dinner (6:30 PM – 8:30 PM): Continue the conversation over a delectable full-course meal lovingly prepared by Chef Lewis Hughes, a descendant of Harper’s Ferry Raider Lewis Sheridan Leary.
